Behind the find
Introduced in Resident Evil 2, the Licker is a further mutation of a t-virus-infected human. Exposed muscle, a visible brain and a whip-like tongue make its silhouette unmistakable. Its claws let it cling to walls and ceilings, turning the police station's corridors into ambush sites.
Lickers are blind and hunt by sound. In the Resident Evil 2 remake, walking carefully can let Leon or Claire pass without triggering an attack; gunfire and hurried movement can turn a quiet corridor into a trap. That rule makes restraint as valuable as firepower.
