Behind the find
Lore, origin and why it matters
Origin
The original Resident Evil 2 launched in 1998. Capcom's remake revisited the same central premise with redesigned environments, while retaining Leon, Claire, Ada and Sherry in its character lineup.
Why It Matters
Resident Evil 2 established city-scale tension that later stories would revisit. It is an accessible entry point because its two leads show different paths through the same outbreak.
