Lore, origin and why it matters

A Weapon Built to Hunt S.T.A.R.S.

Nemesis is Umbrella's pursuit weapon in Resident Evil 3. A Tyrant enhanced with the NE-alpha parasite, it has the intelligence to track targets and handle weapons, including a rocket launcher. Its mission is specific: eliminate surviving S.T.A.R.S. members who know what happened at the mansion.

Jill Valentine's Relentless Pursuer

For Jill, the outbreak is more than an escape from zombies. Nemesis keeps returning, forcing her to reconsider routes and fight for even brief moments of safety. Its rasped cry of 'S.T.A.R.S.' reduces Umbrella's cover-up to one terrifying command.
