Behind the find
Leon S. Kennedy arrives for his new job with the Raccoon Police Department during Resident Evil 2's 1998 outbreak. His blue uniform belongs to a rookie who expects to protect a city, then finds himself fighting to escape it. That first night establishes his instinct to help people even when he is barely surviving himself.
The R.P.D. look marks a specific point in Leon's story, before the government training and rescue mission of Resident Evil 4. Encounters with Claire, Ada and Marvin turn his disastrous first assignment into the beginning of a life spent confronting biological threats.
