Behind the find
Yötön Yö, or Nightless Night, is the Finnish-language film shown in Alan Wake 2's Poet's Cinema. Within the story it is attributed to filmmaker Thomas Zane; its detective, strange cult and macabre ritual echo the horror Alan is trying to write his way through.
The film can be watched inside the game, where its familiar faces and recurring images blur the boundary between cinema and Alan's experience. Its poster is a reference to an artifact within the Dark Place, rather than simply advertising Alan Wake 2 itself.
